*There are numerous ways to translate the title Cosi fan tutte, which is why the opera still usually goes by its original Italian title. The literal translation would be "thus do they all," although when taken in the context of the plot, tutte implies "all" to be a female group. "Women are like that" and "All women behave that way" are other common translations.
